Microsoft Outlook Express 6.x

• Start Outlook Express

• From the Menu select Tools then Accounts

• Within the Internet Accounts window select the Mail tab

• Ensure that any obsolete mail accounts are deleted by selecting the account and then clicking on the Remove button

• Create a new mail account by clicking on the Add button and selecting Mail

• Enter a friendly name that recipients will see when you send an e-mail

• Click the Next button

• Enter your e-mail address where username is your assigned user name by ElmRij Networks Inc.

• Click the Next button

• Enter pop.elmrij.net in the Incoming mail field

• Enter smtp.elmrij.net in the Outgoing mail field

• Click the Next button

• Enter your user name in the Account name field where username is your assigned user name by ElmRij Networks Inc.

• Enter your assigned password in the Password field

• Click the Next button

• Click the Finish button to complete this portion of the e-mail client set up

• You will now see your new mail account in the Internet Accounts window

• Select the account an then press the Properties button

• The Properties window will pop up

• Select the Servers tab

• Place a check mark beside My server requires authentication

• Press the Settings button

• Ensure that “Use same settings as my incoming mail server” is selected

• Click on the OK button

• You will return to the Properties window

• Select the Advanced tab

• Change the Outgoing mail (SMTP) port number from 25 to 2525

• Press the OK button

• You will return to the Internet Accounts window

• Press the Close button

• Congratulations your done!
